After the two hundred Watchers descended in the days of Jared and took wives from the daughters of men, as Enoch records, their children were not as other children. They were the giants, the Nephilim, beings of enormous size and appetite. The fragments name their fathers among the chief Watchers, Shemihazah and Baraqel and their company, and they name the giants themselves: Ohyah and Hahyah, the sons of Shemihazah, and Mahaway, the son of the Watcher Baraqel. These were the mighty ones of old, men of renown, and also men of ruin.
