1 This again also is the coming forth from the body of our father the Patriarch Jacob, who is called Israel, on the twenty-eighth day of the month Mesore, in the peace of Elohim. Amen.
2 Now it came to pass when the days of our beloved father Jacob the Patriarch, the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham, drew nigh that he should come forth from the body, and the Elohim-loving Jacob was advanced in days, the Adonai sent unto him Michael the archangel; and he said unto him: Israel, my beloved and thou good root, write thy words of instruction for thy sons, and establish for them thy testament, and take care for thine household; for the time is come that thou shalt go unto thy fathers and have joy with them for ever. But the Elohim-loving Jacob, when he heard these words from the angel, answered and spake unto him on this wise: My lord; he spake unto him on this wise: May the will of the Adonai be done.
